Newest Mini Album

Hi, Folks.

We had another long weekend thanks to the 4th of July so again, I took full advantage of the extra time and finished this mini album for my boss' daughter. Her name is Blake and he intends to give this to her for her birthday in a couple of weeks.

I used a little of everything in this book. For the first time, I used some of those bulky but oh-so-pretty Prima flowers. I also added some of my own crocheted flowers.

I really liked the idea of creating pockets for journaling tags so I incorporated those again but this time, I used doubled sided cardstock instead of inkblending manilla tags.

This page is for her dogs.

This page is for her cat.

She just graduated from high school. Instead of a tag insert for this page, I included one of those pretty organza baggies so she could add her own keepsake to the book. You can't see the organza bag too well here but it's inserted into the pocket right beneath the "graduation" title.

She plays field hockey and my boss wanted me to include that in the book. I had to special order the paper online since Michael's didn't carry any.

I can't wait to give this to my boss and see his reaction. I sure hope he likes it as I also hope Blake likes her especially made just for her book.

So that's my newest mini album. I hope you enjoyed looking at it and I thank you for stopping by.

Serene! This is phenomenal! I love all the tags and I am just amazed at all the detail. There is so much that it is hard to believe it is a mini and not a full sized album. Gorgeous!

Beautiful, beautiful work, Serene! I bet both your boss and his daughter will be delighted.
And may I say I'm dreadfully jealous you were able to whip that up over the long weekend. I'm struggling terribly with a gift album I need to finish by the weekend!
Do you make these word albums yourself or do you buy the "build your own?"

Thank you so much, everyone. I really appreciate your words of praise. It means a lot coming from this group of talented people. Thanks!

My boss loved it and he just can't wait to give it to his daughter.

Paula - wish I was going with you to the Prima warehouse. Have fun!

Serene, you completely ROCK those word albums! I love it! You should do some sort of tutorial on how you do them. I'm trying to make one, but I'm stuck on how to flip the design and have it cut correctly for the back side of the page!
